Honda ZR-V hybrid debuts in India

KATHMANDU: Honda has unveiled the new Honda ZR-V e:HEV in India. The hybrid SUV will arrive as a completely built unit (CBU). Pre-bookings are now open, while deliveries will start from July 2026.

The ZR-V e:HEV is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine paired with two electric motors. The setup produces a combined 181 BHP and 315 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through an e-CVT transmission.

Honda claims the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8 seconds. It has an electronically limited top speed of 172 km/h. The company says the hybrid SUV delivers a fuel efficiency of 22.79 km/l.

In terms of design, the SUV gets a large hexagonal grille with vertical slats, LED headlamps with L-shaped DRLs, wraparound LED taillights, roof spoiler, shark fin antenna, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the ZR-V features a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, and a 3-spoke steering wheel. Other features include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, wireless charger, powered front seats, powered tailgate, and a 12-speaker Bose sound system.

For safety, the SUV comes with Level 2 ADAS, 360-degree camera, TPMS, and 8 airbags.
