KATHMANDU: Paramount Motors is preparing to launch the new-generation Wuling Mini EV in Nepal. The upcoming model will arrive as a four-door hatchback with updated styling and more practicality.
The Wuling Mini EV is available globally in both two-door and four-door versions. However, Paramount Motors will only bring the four-door model to Nepal. The new fifth-generation model will come with two battery options.
According to the company, the hatchback will target buyers looking for an affordable and compact EV. Paramount says the new Mini EV will offer more features at a lower price than other mini EVs currently available in Nepal.
The Wuling Mini EV is developed through a joint venture between SAIC Motor, General Motors, and Wuling Motors. It is one of the world’s best-selling small electric hatchbacks.

The new-generation model gets a retro-inspired design with LED headlights and taillights. It also features a floating black roof, smoother body lines, and a digital cockpit.
The compact EV is powered by a 30kW electric motor. It is available with 16.2kWh and 26.5kWh battery packs. The company claims a CLTC range of 205 km and 301 km, depending on the variant.
Both battery options coming to Nepal will be offered only in the four-door version.
