KATHMANDU: Harley-Davidson has launched the CVO Road Glide and Street Glide in India. The bikes are imported via the CBU route, with prices set at 6.737 million Indian rupees for the Road Glide and 6.303 million Indian rupees (ex-showroom) for the Street Glide.

The Road Glide and Street Glide models share the same underpinnings. Both bikes come with a wheelbase of 1,625 mm and ride on 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels. The cruisers feature a low seat, forward-set footrests, and raised handlebars.

The CVO Road Glide gets a ‘Sharknose’ fairing that gives it a distinctive look while improving high-speed stability and offering better wind protection. The Street Glide, in comparison, is equipped with a smaller ‘Batwing’ fairing.

Power for both models comes from the 1,977 cc Milwaukee-Eight 121 V-twin engine, producing 115 BHP at 4,500 rpm and 189 Nm at 3,000 rpm. Braking is managed by dual 320 mm front discs and a single 300 mm rear disc.

In terms of equipment, the CVO range includes a 12.3-inch color TFT display, a 4-speaker Rockford Fosgate audio system, Bluetooth support, and wireless Apple CarPlay.
