KATHMANDU: MAW Earthmovers, the authorized distributor of JCB equipment in Nepal, handed over more than 27 machines to customers across the country on Ghatasthapana, the first day of Dashain.
The machines were delivered through 12 branches of the company across Nepal. The handover ceremonies followed traditional Ghatasthapana rituals, with each machine receiving a ceremonial puja, tika and garlands before the keys were handed over to customers in the presence of their families and company representatives.
The event concluded with cake cutting and the distribution of sweets. Customers then drove their newly acquired machines out of the branch premises.
The machines handed over included JCB 3DX backhoe loaders, excavators and Agrimax models. They are expected to be used in various sectors, including infrastructure development, road construction and agriculture.
Durgaprasad Niraula, chief operating officer (COO) of MAW Earthmovers, said the occasion marked the beginning of new business ventures for the customers.
“Ghatasthapana is a day when we begin auspicious work. Today, more than 27 customers have started a new chapter in their businesses with their new JCB machines. For us, this is not just a machine handover, but the beginning of opportunities for more than 27 families and businesses,” he said.
Niraula also thanked customers for their trust in the company.
The machines will be deployed across different districts and are expected to support Nepal’s economic development through their use in construction, infrastructure and agricultural activities.
