KATHMANDU: Hyundai has released the first teaser of the next-generation i20, confirming that the fourth-generation model will make its global debut next month.

The teaser highlights a sharper and more modern design. The hatchback features arrowhead-shaped LED headlamps and Y-shaped LED DRLs, connected by a full-width LED light bar, giving it a more aggressive front profile.

Inside, the new i20 is expected to get a redesigned cabin with a curved dual-screen setup. Features like a 360-degree camera and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are also likely to be offered.

In terms of powertrain, Hyundai is expected to continue offering petrol and mild-hybrid petrol options. There are also early indications that a fully electric version could be introduced in the future.

The new-generation i20 has already been spotted testing in India. The India-spec model is likely to retain the existing 1.2-liter petrol and 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine options.
