KATHMANDU: The Nepal Tourism Board will operate free shuttle bus services for national and international air passengers on March 5, 2026, to facilitate travel during Election Day transport restrictions.
The shuttle service will connect major hotels and tourist areas in Kathmandu with Tribhuvan International Airport. According to the board, the buses will run from 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM on designated routes.
The service is intended to help travelers reach the airport and hotels when regular public transport is limited during the election.
Route details
Route 1
NAC – New Road – Kantipath – Thamel – Lainchaur – Malla Hotel – Nayabazar – Shanker Hotel – Radisson – Durbar Marg – Hotel Yak & Yeti – Naxal (Nagpokhari) – Gaushala – Battisputali (Dwarika’s Hotel) – Airport.
The bus will return via the same route.
Route 2
Maharajgunj Chowk – Narayanthan Chowk – Dhumbarahi (Ramada by Wyndham Kathmandu Dhumbarahi) – Chabahil – Boudha (Hyatt Regency Kathmandu) – Jorpati Chowk – Chabahil – Gaushala – Airport.
The bus will return via the same route.
Route 3
Kupandole – Himalayan Hotel – Tripureshwor – Kalimati – Soaltee Mode – Kalanki – Ekantakuna – Satdobato – Gwarko (Royal Tulip) – Tinkune – New Baneshwor – The Everest Hotel Kathmandu – Airport.
The return service will follow the same route.
