KATHMANDU: Sipradi Trading, the authorized distributor of Tata Motors in Nepal, has introduced a special scheme for the Punch EV. Customers who purchase the Tata Punch EV during the month of February will receive a 70 percent guaranteed resale value.

According to Sipradi Trading, the guaranteed resale value will be applicable when customers upgrade to another Tata vehicle. The company says this offer is aimed at reducing concerns among buyers about EV resale value.

The Punch EV, one of Tata’s successful models, has already crossed 1,000 units in sales in the Nepali market. Since its launch in late August 2024, the micro SUV has gained popularity due to its size, pricing, features, power, and design.

“We wanted to offer something meaningful to customers, so we introduced the resale value guarantee. Detailed terms and conditions can be understood at Tata Motors showrooms across the country,” a source at Sipradi Trading told MeroAuto.

Built on Tata’s ‘Acti.ev’ platform, the Punch EV comes with features such as ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, a sunroof, and wireless charging. The SUV also gets a large infotainment screen and digital instrument cluster.

In terms of safety, the Punch EV is rated highly. It has secured a 5-star rating in both Global NCAP and Bharat NCAP crash tests. The SUV is equipped with six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Blind Spot Monitoring, and disc brakes on all four wheels.

Built using high-strength steel, the Punch EV has an aerodynamic design. It is powered by a 90 kW electric motor that produces 190 Nm of torque. The SUV offers a ground clearance of 190 mm, making it suitable for Nepali road conditions.

The micro SUV is equipped with a 35 kWh LFP battery pack, delivering an estimated driving range of around 270 kilometers on a full charge.
