KATHMANDU: Great Wall Motors has reduced the price of its electric hatchback ORA 03 by Rs 750,000 in Nepal. The car now starts at Rs 3.99 million, down from its original launch price of Rs 4.749 million.

The price reduction was initially introduced during the English New Year period but has now been made permanent. Buyers visiting showrooms can purchase the model at the revised price. In Nepal, the vehicle is distributed by VG Impex, the official distributor of the brand.

The ORA 03 is the first electric vehicle from Great Wall Motors available in the Nepali market. The model features a retro-inspired design often compared with the classic shape of the Volkswagen Beetle, while incorporating modern electric vehicle technology.

The hatchback is powered by a 99 kW electric motor producing 133 hp and 210 Nm of torque. It uses a 47.78 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack. The company claims the vehicle can deliver a driving range of up to 400 km on a single charge.

In terms of dimensions, the ORA 03 measures 4,235 mm in length, 1,825 mm in width, and 1,603 mm in height, with a 2,650 mm wheelbase, offering a relatively spacious cabin for a hatchback segment vehicle.

The interior features dual 10.25-inch digital displays, wireless mobile charging, a six-way power-adjustable driver seat, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a 360-degree camera system. Other features include a panoramic sunroof, leather seats, automatic climate control, adaptive cruise control, and multiple driving modes.

On the safety side, the ORA 03 comes equipped with seven airbags, electronic stability control, traction control, electronic parking brake, hill start assist, automatic hold, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking.

Exterior highlights include 18-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, projector headlamps, and LED tail lamps.
