KATHMANDU: Vehicle companies have started rolling out festive offers targeting the Dashain, Tihar and Chhath season.
The festive season is one of the busiest periods for vehicle sales in Nepal. Companies are offering cash discounts, free insurance, road tax, home chargers and other benefits to attract buyers.
The offers also help distributors increase sales and clear existing stock before the end of the year.
This year, cash discounts range from around Rs 100,000 to as much as Rs 1.2 million, depending on the brand and model. Several companies are also offering free insurance, road tax, chargers, accessories and extended warranty packages.
Hyundai
Laxmi Intercontinental, the authorized distributor of Hyundai in Nepal, has introduced a festive scheme with cash benefits of up to Rs 300,000.
Customers can also get a chance to win up to Rs 500,000 through a scratch card.
The company is offering one year of Auto Plus insurance and road tax with the purchase of a new Hyundai vehicle. Hyundai is also providing a three-year warranty and up to six years of free servicing.
MG
Paramount Motors has announced a festive offer with benefits of up to Rs 300,000 on selected MG models.
The offer includes the MG4, MGS5 EV, MGS6 EV, IM6 and U9 EV. Customers can also receive complimentary Auto Plus insurance, free road tax, easy finance and exchange facilities.
The offer is available for a limited period until Chhath.
iCAUR
The iCAUR V23 is available with a cash discount of Rs 300,000 under the festive campaign.
SPG Automobiles is offering the V23 with additional benefits including an extended warranty of up to 11 years, one year of road tax, one year of insurance and a 7 kW wall-mounted AC charger.
The V23 was previously priced at Rs 5.399 million. The current festive benefit brings the effective price down to around Rs 5.099 million.
Omoda and Jaecoo
SPG Automobiles has also announced festive benefits on its Omoda and Jaecoo models.
The Omoda E5 is available with a cash discount of Rs 100,000, while the Jaecoo J5 gets Rs 300,000 off. The Jaecoo J6T is offered with a Rs 200,000 cash discount.
The company is also providing one year of road tax, one year of insurance and a 7 kW wall-mounted charger with the selected models.
Xpeng
CG Motors has introduced one of the biggest festive benefits on the Xpeng G6. Customers purchasing the Xpeng G6 can receive benefits of up to Rs 1.2 million under the company’s special festive scheme.
The package also includes a 6.6 kW wall-mounted charger, one year of insurance and road tax for one fiscal year.
CG Motors is also offering home test drives for customers interested in the Xpeng G6.
Great Wall Motor
V.G. Impex, the authorized distributor of Great Wall Motor in Nepal, has announced festive benefits on its electric models.
The company is offering up to Rs 200,000 off on the ORA 5 and Rs 300,000 off on the Haval Jolion Max EV.
Customers also receive comprehensive insurance, road tax, a spare tire, a 7 kW charger and accessories as part of the festive package.
Honda
Honda cars are also available with festive benefits under the company’s Dashain campaign. Syakar Trading, the authorized distributor of Honda cars in Nepal, is offering benefits on models including the Honda CR-V, Elevate, City and City Hybrid.
The package includes one year of road tax and comprehensive insurance, along with exchange facilities and exchange bonuses.
However, Honda’s current year campaign also includes options such as up to seven years of free servicing or a five-year annual maintenance contract, depending on the scheme selected.
GAC Aion
CG Motors has also announced a festive scheme for GAC Aion electric vehicles. Under the campaign, customers can receive benefits of up to Rs 900,000.
The package includes an exchange bonus, one year of road tax, Auto Plus insurance and a 6.6 kW home charger. Customers also receive other vehicle accessories as part of the offer.
With most major brands now offering discounts and additional benefits, the festive season has brought a wide range of schemes to Nepal’s passenger vehicle market. Buyers can compare the cash discount, insurance, road tax, charger, warranty and exchange benefits before making a purchase.
