KATHMANDU: Balen Shah has purchased a new Honda CRF300 Rally ahead of taking oath as Nepal’s Prime Minister. The motorcycle is priced at Rs 2.35 million in Nepal.

According to showroom sources, Shah plans to use the bike personally. He has previously been seen riding motorcycles, including a Crossfire model, during visits to remote Far West regions.

The CRF300 Rally is a dual-purpose motorcycle designed for both on-road and off-road use. It is powered by a 286cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC engine producing around 27 PS and 26 Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The bike has a curb weight of around 150 kg.

Key features include long-travel suspension, a 12.8-liter fuel tank, dual-channel ABS with disc brakes, wire-spoke wheels, full LED lighting, and a digital instrument console. It also gets a tall windscreen, rally-style bodywork, and engine protection components.

Due to its rally-focused design, the model does not come with a front number plate mount. In Nepal, owners typically install a custom bracket to meet regulations.
