KATHMANDU: The NADA Auto Show 2026 concluded in Kathmandu on Sunday, with BYD, Yamaha, Digo, Michelin and Machhapuchchhre Bank winning the best stall awards in their respective categories.
The 18th edition of Nepal’s largest automobile exhibition was held from August 25 to 30 at Bhrikutimandap. The event was organized to mark the 50th anniversary of the NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal.
More than 200 stalls featured passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, two-wheelers, auto components, tires, lubricants, financial services and other automotive products.
The show featured 23 passenger vehicle brands, 17 light commercial vehicle brands and 13 two-wheeler brands. New vehicle launches, electric vehicles and locally assembled products were among the major attractions.
BYD, Tata, Deepal, Nammi, Avatr, Zeekr, Chery and Dongfeng were among the brands showcasing new models at the event. Several new vehicles were launched or displayed for the first time in Nepal during the show.
The event also saw strong competition among banks and financial institutions. Various banks offered attractive interest rates, service charge discounts and other benefits on vehicle loans.
The show was held amid floods and landslides in several parts of the country. NADA President Surendra Kumar Upreti said the event continued despite the difficult circumstances with support from exhibitors, businesses, media and visitors.
“Disasters can make us weak, but they cannot weaken our resolve,” Upreti said.
He said the auto show was more than a platform for vehicle sales. It also provided a space to showcase new technologies, discuss the future of mobility and bring different parts of the automotive industry together.
This year’s event was held under the theme “From Industry to Employment.”
These are the five best stalls
NADA awarded the best stall titles in five categories at the 2026 edition.
In the passenger vehicle category, Cimex Inc.’s BYD won the best stall award.
In the two-wheeler category, MAW Rides’ Yamaha was declared the best stall.
In the commercial four-wheeler category, theeGo, sold by NEV Nepal, won the award.
Similarly, Michelin tires, displayed by Sipradi Autoparts, won the best stall award in the auto components category. In the banking and financial institutions category, Machhapuchchhre Bank was declared the winner.
NADA had formed a three-member committee comprising representatives from the respective sectors to select the best stalls.
