Nammi Vigo wins big at NADA 2026, bookings still rolling in post-discount

KATHMANDU: The Nammi Vigo E2 emerged as one of the biggest winners of the NADA Auto Show 2026, with bookings continuing even after its introductory discount was withdrawn.

MAW Vriddhi Motors opened bookings for the Vigo E2 five days before the auto show. The electric SUV was offered at Rs 3.599 million during the introductory period, with a Rs 200,000 discount on its Rs 3.799 million MRP.

However, the company ended the offer soon after the NADA Auto Show began due to overwhelming demand. New bookings are now being accepted at the MRP of Rs 3.799 million.

According to the company, bookings exceeded the available supply within a short period. Customers were informed that deliveries could take time, but demand continued.

The company claims around 1,700 units of the Nammi Vigo had been booked by Sunday afternoon.

What makes the Nammi Vigo popular?

The Nammi Vigo combines a distinctive design, modern features and competitive pricing. Its design is based on the “Magic Cube” concept.

The SUV features LED headlights and DRLs, semi-hidden door handles and distinctive triangular LED taillights.

The Vigo E2 is powered by a 51.87 kWh battery and has a claimed WLTP range of 350 km. It supports 3C fast charging and can charge from 30% to 80% in around 18 minutes using a 167 kW DC fast charger.

The electric motor produces 99 kW of power. The SUV has a ground clearance of around 190 mm, making it suitable for a variety of road conditions.

The Vigo measures 4,306 mm in length, 1,868 mm in width and 1,654 mm in height. It has a 2,715 mm wheelbase. Inside, the SUV gets a 12.8-inch infotainment screen, an 8.8-inch driver information display and a 360-degree camera.

Other features include a 50-watt wireless charger, one-touch rear-seat folding and flexible front-seat arrangements. The Vigo also gets features such as welcome and memory seats, music-synchronized ambient lighting and a powered tailgate.

The SUV comes with wireless charging, Wi-Fi connectivity and heated and ventilated front seats. It also offers multiple storage spaces throughout the cabin.

Three drive modes Eco, Normal and Sport are available. The steering can also be adjusted between Calm, Normal and Comfort modes. Safety features include six airbags, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, auto hold, hill hold, hill descent control and traction control.
