KATHMANDU: Stellantis plans to invest US$468 million in India over the next three years as part of its FaSTLane 2030 growth strategy. The company aims to launch 12 new products under its Jeep and Citroen brands by 2030, according to Indian media reports.
The product plan includes seven all-new models and five major upgrades to existing vehicles. The lineup will cover B-, C- and D-segment SUVs, a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), an A-segment car and a premium pickup truck.
The first product under the new roadmap is scheduled to launch in the second quarter of 2027.
Stellantis plans to offer multiple powertrain options to meet changing customer needs. These will include internal combustion engines, hybrid systems, plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) and battery electric vehicles (BEVs).
Local manufacturing will play a key role in the expansion. The company will also build on its expanded partnership with Tata Motors to use its manufacturing facilities, engineering expertise and supplier network.
India will also play a larger role in Stellantis’ global export operations. The company currently exports vehicles from India to around 50 countries. About 95% of the engines and gearboxes produced at its Hosur facility are exported.
Under the FaSTLane 2030 roadmap, India-developed products will support the company’s Asia-Pacific strategy and serve both domestic and international markets.
Stellantis reported 35% quarter-on-quarter business growth in the second quarter of calendar year 2026. Citroen sales also increased by 68% year-on-year during the same period.
