KATHMANDU: BYD is moving closer to a major export milestone in 2025. The Chinese automaker is on course to export one million vehicles within the year, driven by strong growth in overseas demand.
Industry data released on December 23 shows BYD exported 128,067 passenger vehicles in November 2025. This marks a 313.4 percent year-on-year increase and a 59.9 percent rise compared to October.
From January to November 2025, BYD exported a total of 878,498 vehicles. This represents a 144 percent increase over the same period last year and has already more than doubled the company’s total export volume for 2024.
BYD led new energy vehicle sales in several global markets in November, including Brazil, Turkey, Italy, and Spain, and topped overall brand sales in Singapore.
From January to November 2025, the company remained the NEV market leader in Brazil, Turkey, Spain, and Italy, while also ranking first overall in Singapore and Hong Kong.
If current trends continue, BYD is expected to reach the one-million export mark by the end of 2025.
