KATHMANDU: Changan has opened pre-sales of the new Nevo Q06 in China, with prices starting at $22,000. The electric SUV was unveiled at the company’s 2026 Changan SDA Pilot Technology Conference on September 4.
The Q06 is offered in pure-electric and range-extender versions. Its pre-sale price ranges from $22,000 to $28,200, depending on the variant.
The SUV is built on an 800V silicon-carbide high-voltage platform. It supports 6C fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in just 9 minutes.
The pure-electric Q06 is available with battery capacities of 63.18 kWh, 66.02 kWh, 72.54 kWh and 80.02 kWh. It offers a maximum claimed range of 700 km.

The Q06 comes in single-motor and dual-motor versions. The single-motor variants produce 302 hp or 329 hp, while the dual-motor version delivers 443 hp. The dual-motor model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds.
The range-extender version offers a combined driving range of up to 1,600 km. The Q06 measures 4,837 mm long, 1,970 mm wide and 1,670 mm tall, with a 2,940 mm wheelbase.
Inside, the SUV gets Changan’s SDA Cockpit 2.0 with AI-powered features. It also comes with heated, ventilated and massaging seats, a 15.6-inch rear entertainment screen, and a refrigerator. Cargo space includes a 196-liter front trunk and a 782-liter rear cargo area.

Changan is also introducing its new SDA Pilot intelligent driving system with the Q06. LiDAR is available across the range, while higher variants get more powerful computing hardware and advanced AI-based driving functions.
The Q06 joins Changan Nevo’s growing lineup as the brand continues to expand its presence in China. The Nevo brand sold 45,885 vehicles in August, up 60.6% year-on-year.

The Nevo Q05 is part of Changan’s Nevo lineup, which also includes the newly unveiled Nevo Q06 in China. The Q05 is positioned as a more compact and affordable model in the lineup, while the Q06 sits in a larger SUV segment with advanced 800V charging and intelligent driving technology.
