KATHMANDU: Honda has expanded its popular CB350 retro motorcycle range in India with three different versions: the CB350, CB350C and CB350RS. The models offer different designs while sharing the same basic engine and platform.
The CB350 was first introduced in 2020 and later entered the Nepali market. However, it has not been consistently available in Nepal. Honda’s new CB350 range could potentially return to the Nepali market.
All three models use a 348.36cc, single-cylinder engine. It produces 15.5 kW, or around 20.7 hp, and 30 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a five-speed gearbox. Honda’s official specifications list 29.4 Nm for the current CB350, depending on the variant.
The three motorcycles also get dual-channel ABS and a five-speed gearbox. Honda’s H’ness/CB350 family uses a multi-plate wet clutch, while higher variants offer additional connectivity features.
The CB350 is the most traditional-looking model in the range. It has a classic retro roadster design with a 15-liter fuel tank.
The motorcycle weighs 181 kg and offers 166 mm of ground clearance. It produces 30 Nm of peak torque.
The CB350C has a slightly different design and is the heaviest of the three. It weighs around 187 kg and gets a 15.2-liter fuel tank.
It has 165 mm of ground clearance and produces 29.4 Nm of torque. It also uses the same 348.36cc engine and five-speed transmission.
The CB350RS gets a sportier, scrambler-inspired design. It is the lightest model in the family at around 179 kg.
It offers 168 mm of ground clearance and a 15-liter fuel tank. The engine produces 30 Nm of peak torque.
With three different designs, Honda now offers the CB350 platform in different styles while retaining the same 348cc engine. The possibility of these updated models returning to Nepal will depend on Honda’s local distributor and market plans.
