KATHMANDU:  inDrive, a global mobility platform, has introduced a new way of ride-hailing in Nepal by pioneering the ‘Set your Fare and Choose your Driver’ model. Unlike other services that use AI to set prices, inDrive lets passengers decide the fare, select their preferred driver and choose the type of vehicle.

Since launching in Nepal in 2022, this model has gained strong popularity among users who appreciate the flexibility and control it offers. Pavit Nanda Anand, Communication Lead-APAC at inDrive, said the feature allows people to pick drivers based on ratings, vehicle models and timing, making rides more personalized and affordable.

inDrive’s approach has made it the leading ride-hailing app in Nepal. This app is  second most downloaded ride-hailing app worldwide for three years running. In December 2024 alone, it was downloaded over 6.1 million times globally.

Built on fairness, inDrive creates a win-win situation for both passengers and drivers by letting them decide prices and ride options, ensuring a satisfying experience on every trip.

inDrive operates in 888 cities across 48 countries and aims to positively impact the lives of one billion people by 2030 through fair pricing and community programs. For additional information, please visit www.inDrive.com.
