JCB India felicitates Nepali customers for Bhotekoshi flood rescue

KATHMANDU: JCB India has felicitated two Nepali customers, Ain Bahadur Raut and Netra Bahadur Adhikari, for their contribution to rescue efforts during the recent Bhotekoshi floods.

The two were honored at the JCB Pavilion during Bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026. JCB India CEO and Managing Director Deepak Shetty praised their efforts during the event.

Raut and Adhikari used a JCB 221 tracked excavator and other machines to support rescue work at the Trishuli 3A site. They worked for several days at the site and helped rescue two people who were trapped there.

Shetty said their efforts were a story of hope during a tragedy. He also praised both men for remaining simple and humble despite their courageous work.

Meanwhile, MAW Earthmovers is running the JCB Disaster Relief Special Free Service Camp through its JCB WOW Service vehicles. The campaign covers JCB machines being used for rescue, relief and reconstruction work in Nuwakot and Dhading.

The company has also distributed safety kits to operators working in hazardous rescue and reconstruction conditions.
