KATHMANDU: Renault is preparing to launch an updated version of the Kwid in Brazil, with the entry-level hatchback recently spotted completely undisguised.

The updated Kwid gets several styling changes, particularly at the front. It features a new gloss-black insert flanked by LED daytime running lights and turn indicators.

The front bumper has also been redesigned with a two-tone finish, while the headlamps are now positioned within the bumper.

At the rear, the overall design remains largely unchanged. However, the updated model gets clear-lens taillights and a redesigned two-tone bumper with a silver-colored faux skid plate.

The cabin also receives a few updates. The new Kwid gets a digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system mounted in the center of the dashboard.

The Brazil-spec, left-hand-drive model also features a new three-spoke multifunction steering wheel.

Despite the styling and interior updates, the Kwid is expected to remain mechanically unchanged. Renault is yet to announce details about the updated model, including its launch date and pricing in Brazil.
