KATHMANDU: Shekhar Golchha, Chairman and Managing Director of Golchha Group and past president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), has announced a contribution of Rs 15 million to support flood relief efforts.
Golchha made the announcement through a social media post, saying the images and videos coming from Rasuwa and other affected areas are deeply heartbreaking.
He expressed his condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones and said his thoughts are with those still waiting for news of their family members.
Golchha said the immediate priority should be to support rescue and relief efforts and stand with the affected families and communities.
He also urged the private sector to come together and support the government and communities during the crisis.
“To support the ongoing rescue, relief and humanitarian efforts for those affected by the floods, Golchha Group is contributing Rs 15 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund,” Golchha wrote in his social media post.
He said the private sector should do whatever it can to support relief and recovery efforts during this difficult time.
