KATHMANDU: The 2026 NADA Auto Show is set to begin on Tuesday, August 25, with more than half a dozen new models expected to make their debut. Around a dozen recently launched models will also be showcased at the event.
Among the many new vehicles at the show, the Tata Sierra EV and Deepal Nevo Q05 are expected to attract the most attention. Both SUVs have already arrived in Nepal, with the Nevo Q05 now officially available for purchase.
The official price of the Nevo Q05 was announced on Sunday evening. It is likely to be one of the key attractions at this year’s NADA Auto Show.
The Tata Sierra EV is another highly anticipated model. The SUV has been brought to Nepal by Sipradi Trading and is set to make its public appearance at NADA. Its modern design, premium features and SUV-focused styling could make it popular among Nepali buyers.
The two SUVs target different segments. Here is a closer look at both models.
Deepal Nevo Q05
The Deepal Nevo Q05 is now available in Nepal in two variants. MAW Vriddhi has priced the Max at Rs. 4.699 million and the Ultra at Rs. 4.999 million.
These are special NADA Auto Show prices. After the show, the Max will cost Rs. 4.899 million, while the Ultra will be priced at Rs. 5.199 million.
The Q05 uses a 51.9 kWh LFP battery and a 120 kW electric motor. The motor produces 163 hp and 190 Nm of torque. The Nepal-spec model supports up to 162 kW DC fast charging.
The SUV is based on Changan’s Digital Wing 2.0 design language. It gets a slim LED light signature, matrix headlights and a closed front grille. The side features aerodynamic styling and sculpted character lines. A full-width LED light bar is used at the rear.
The Q05 measures 4,435 mm long, 1,855 mm wide and 1,600 mm tall. It has a 2,735 mm wheelbase and 185 mm ground clearance.
Inside, the Q05 gets a 14.6-inch central display and a 10.17-inch digital instrument cluster. Other features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 50W wireless charging, a built-in dashcam, a 540-degree camera, connected-car functions, Bluetooth key, OTA updates and 256-color ambient lighting.
For safety, the SUV gets six airbags, a 540-degree camera and a Level 2 ADAS package with more than 18 functions.
Tata Sierra EV
Sipradi Trading has already brought the Tata Sierra EV to Nepal. However, its Nepal-specific features and official price are expected to be announced at the NADA Auto Show.
In India, the Sierra EV is available with 63 kWh and 75 kWh battery options. Tata has not yet confirmed which battery option will be offered in Nepal.
The rear-wheel-drive version uses a 175 kW motor, while the all-wheel-drive version gets a 225 kW motor. Peak torque is rated at 504 Nm. The Nepal-spec version is expected to use the rear-wheel-drive setup, although this has not yet been officially confirmed.
The Sierra EV features a full-width LED light bar, projector LED headlights, flush door handles and its signature rear-quarter glass. It also gets 18-inch wheels, a roof spoiler and shark-fin antenna.
The SUV uses Tata’s Acti.ev platform. Its suspension setup includes independent rear suspension and frequency-dependent damping technology.
Inside, the Sierra EV gets a dual-tone cabin with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch information display. It also features an eight-speaker audio system, automatic climate control, wireless Android Auto, steering-mounted controls and keyless entry.
Tata’s iRA.ev connected-car system offers more than 70 smart connected features. The SUV also gets 5G connectivity, wireless charging and multiple multimedia functions.
Safety features include six airbags and 19 functions under the electronic stability program. Disc brakes are used on all four wheels. Even the entry version gets rear parking sensors and a rear camera with dynamic guidelines.
