KATHMANDU: Car buyers generally expect a certain level of space, comfort and features based on a vehicle’s size and price. The recently launched Deepal Nevo Q05 in Nepal aims to challenge that expectation.
The electric SUV focuses on space, comfort, design and technology, offering several features commonly found in higher-segment vehicles.
The difference is most noticeable inside the cabin. With a 2,735 mm wheelbase, the Q05 offers a spacious interior while maintaining a size suitable for urban driving. The rear seat can accommodate three adults, while the backrest can be adjusted between 28 and 33 degrees for added comfort.
The Q05 uses a nine-layer seat structure designed to balance cushioning, support and durability. Soft-touch materials are used in frequently touched areas of the cabin.
Changan says more than 67 NVH-control measures have been used to reduce unwanted noise and vibrations from the road and vehicle.
The Q05 was developed under the leadership of Klaus Zyciora, Changan’s Global Vice President of Design. More than 915 design professionals from 31 countries were involved in the design process.
Its Digital Wing 2.0 front signature and Star Ring Matrix taillights give the SUV a distinctive appearance. The Q05 also has a drag coefficient of 0.265 Cd, helping improve aerodynamic efficiency.
The Q05 is equipped with a 51.9 kWh CATL LFP battery featuring Golden Shield Battery 2.0 technology. Its 3C fast-charging system can charge the battery from 30% to 80% in around 15 minutes under suitable charging, temperature and operating conditions.
The SUV also gets a 540-degree camera system, providing a view around and underneath the vehicle. Depending on the variant, it offers up to 18 driver-assistance features.
The combination of cabin space, comfort, design and technology is the main highlight of the Nevo Q05. Deepal positions the Nevo Q05 as an “A Class Above” SUV, aiming to deliver a more premium experience within its segment.
