KATHMANDU: Tesla’s new balance bike for children has sold out shortly after its launch. The company introduced the pedal-free bike as the latest addition to its lifestyle product range.

Priced at $225, the balance bike is designed for children aged 2 to 5 years. It features a lightweight magnesium frame, an adjustable seat with five height settings and Tesla’s minimalist design.

The bike does not have a motor, pedals or brakes. Children use their feet to move and stop, helping them develop balance before riding a conventional bicycle.

Tesla recommends the bike for riders with a minimum leg length of 35 cm. The recommended maximum rider weight is 30 kg, while the maximum limit is 35 kg.

The company has not revealed how many units were available. However, the product was marked sold out soon after orders were opened. Deliveries are expected to begin in late August.

Tesla is also offering a matching balance bike T-shirt priced at $30.

The balance bike joins Tesla’s growing range of children’s products. These include the Cybertruck for Kids, Cyberquad for Kids and miniature Tesla models.
