TVS Raider’s iGO variant may come to Nepal before Dashain

KATHMANDU: Indian motorcycle brand TVS is set to launch a new variant of its Raider motorcycle in the Nepali market.

Jagdamba Motors, the official distributor of TVS in Nepal, is preparing to introduce the Raider iGO variant to the Nepali market. Company sources say the iGO variant is expected to be launched before the Dashain festival which begins after a fortnight.

According to TVS, the new iGo (Intelligo) Assist technology is expected to improve fuel efficiency by 10% compared to other Raider variants, while the EcoThrust FI system can boost mileage by 15%.

The Raider iGO features a sporty naked street design and is powered by a 124.8cc single-cylinder, three-valve, air- and oil-cooled EFI engine with iGO Assist technology. The engine generates a torque of 11.75 Nm at a maximum of 6,000 RPM.

The motorcycle comes with a 5-step gearbox and can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in just 5.8 seconds.

According to the company, the iGO variant comes with a full LED headlamp setup featuring an animalistic design and a colorful reverse LCD TFT console that supports more than 85 connected features. Additional features in the iGO variant include single-touch button operation, call management, voice assist, hyper-smart connectivity, navigation, Glide Throttle traffic system, ISG silent starter, engine cutoff and three riding modes: Eco, Boost, and Power.

The top variant of the TVS Raider is priced at Rs 299,900 in the Nepali market. The new iGO variant is expected to cost Rs 20,000–25,000 more than the existing Raider model.
