KATHMANDU: Suzuki has reduced the price of its V-Strom 250 adventure motorcycle by Rs 100,000 as its authorized distributor begins assembling the model in Nepal.
The V-Strom 250, which was originally launched at Rs 700,000 during the 2024 NADA Auto Show, is now available for Rs 599,900.
VG Automobiles, the official distributor of Suzuki motorcycles and scooters in Nepal, introduced the V-Strom 250 to compete in the 250cc adventure segment, where it faces stiff competition from models like the KTM 250 Adventure.
The V-Strom 250, however, saw underwhelming sales in Nepal.
The V-Strom 250 draws inspiration from its bigger sibling, the V-Strom 650. It is powered by a 248 cc liquid-cooled four-stroke, parallel-twin engine that produces around 25 PS and 23.4 Nm of torque. It sports a six-speed gearbox.
The bike is loaded with features like dual disc brakes, standard ABS, a digital console, 17-inch alloy wheels, a round headlamp and a front windshield.
The V-Strom is a popular adventure motorcycle in the global market. Nepal Police has acquired a fleet of V-Strom 650 to lead VIP carcades.
