KATHMANDU: Renault has launched the 2026 Kwid in India with a starting price of 453,000 Indian rupees (ex-showroom). The updated hatchback is available in Evolution and Climber variants.

The 2026 Kwid is priced 13,000 to 38,000 Indian rupees lower than the outgoing model, making it more affordable despite receiving several updates.

On the outside, the hatchback gets subtle styling changes, including a new 3D Renault badge, redesigned dual-tone wheel covers, and updated ‘Kwid’ lettering on the tailgate. The halogen headlamps and LED daytime running lights remain unchanged.

Inside, the Kwid features a new three-spoke steering wheel, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Safety equipment includes up to six airbags on the Climber variant, a rearview camera, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), hill-start assist on AMT variants, keyless entry, and ABS with EBD.

Power comes from the familiar 1.0-liter, three-cylinder petrol engine producing 68 hp and 92.5 Nm of torque. It is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission.

The range-topping Climber AMT is priced at 561,000 Indian rupees (ex-showroom).
