KATHMANDU: The fourth-generation Hyundai i20 has been caught testing in Europe, ahead of its possible debut in mid-2026.
The popular hatchback will feature a completely new design and is expected to be offered with both ICE and hybrid powertrains.
Motor.es reports that, despite the camouflage, the spy images reveal key design updates. The new i20 is likely to get a redesigned front fascia with horizontal LED headlamps integrated with LED DRLs, a new grille, and reworked bumpers.
Other highlights include a flat roofline with a shark fin antenna, new two-tone alloy wheels and sleeker ORVMs compared to the current version.
Inside, the next-gen i20 is expected to come with modern features such as a curved display housing dual screens, a 360-degree camera and an ADAS suite.
On the powertrain front, the hatchback is likely to be offered with petrol and mild-hybrid petrol engine options.
Reports also suggest that a pure-electric version could be under development.
