KATHMANDU: Hyundai is testing a new SUV for the Indian market, with a camouflaged test mule recently spotted on public roads in Mumbai.

The SUV features a boxy and upright design with short overhangs, giving it a rugged stance.

Design highlights seen at the rear include an LED light bar similar to the new Venue, flush-fitting door handles, roof rails, a roof spoiler, and dual-tone alloy wheels fitted with MRF tires.

Images of the front and interior are not yet available. However, reports suggest the SUV could come equipped with a large central touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a 360-degree camera.

While Hyundai has not officially confirmed details, the test vehicle is believed to be the same SUV that was teased during the company’s investor presentation in October last year, according to Autocar India.
