KATHMANDU: Mahindra has launched the Thar Roxx Star Edition in the Indian market, with prices starting at 1.685 million Indian rupees (ex-showroom). The new special edition is offered with both petrol and diesel powertrains and sits above the standard Thar Roxx variants.
The Star Edition is available in four exterior color options. Exterior highlights include a gloss black grille, 19-inch black alloy wheels, and Star Edition badges positioned on the C-pillars.
Inside, the Thar Roxx Star Edition features black leatherette upholstery, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof. Key features include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a Harman Kardon sound system.
Powering the Star Edition are the same engines offered on the standard model: a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol and a 2.2-liter diesel unit. Both engines are available with a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the diesel also gets a 6-speed manual option.
Notably, the Star Edition is offered only in rear-wheel drive, with no 4×4 option available.
Agni Incorporated is the authorized distributor of Mahindra vehicles in Nepal. The Mahindra Thar series has attracted strong interest from Nepali auto enthusiasts and remains one of the most anticipated off-road SUVs in the market.
However, the distributor has not yet provided any information regarding its official launch in Nepal.
