Brezza at 10: ruling India’s compact SUV market with 31% share

KATHMANDU: Maruti Suzuki is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. First introduced in 2016, the compact SUV has become one of the brand’s most successful models in the Indian market.

The company said the Brezza currently accounts for around 31 percent of the compact SUV segment in India. Over the past decade, the model has remained among the top 10 best-selling passenger vehicles in the country.

According to the company, about 56 percent of customers consider the Brezza as their first choice while planning to buy a compact SUV.

The latest generation of the Brezza is powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine paired with Progressive Smart Hybrid technology. It is available with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

The SUV is equipped with several modern features, including a 360-degree camera, head-up display, electric sunroof, Smart Play Pro+ infotainment system, six airbags, and ESP with Hill Hold Assist.

The Suzuki Brezza is a popular sub-compact SUV in Nepal. Distributed by CG MotoCorp, the model is available in both manual and automatic transmission options.
