KATHMANDU:Eighty-nine passengers traveling in five microbuses were rescued safely after being stranded by a sudden flood in the Roshi River at Ghumaney Charsaya Besi, Roshi Rural Municipality–7, Kavrepalanchok, according to Nepal Police.
A joint team from the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force carried out the rescue operation and ensured all passengers were sent toward their destinations without injury.

Police have taken five drivers into custody for allegedly operating vehicles in a risky manner despite flood conditions. Further investigation is ongoing.
