KATHMANDU: The Narayangadh-Muglin road section will face partial closures during the daytime from today, September 7, to carry out soil cutting work at Tuin Khola.

The District Administration Office, Chitwan, has announced that the road will be closed in five phases. The closure is being carried out at a time when traffic on the Narayangadh-Muglin section is relatively low due to ongoing work to open a new track at Krishnabhir along the Muglin-Kathmandu road.

According to the administration, the road will be closed for two hours at a time and opened for 30 minutes between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. The first closure will be from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM, followed by a 30-minute opening from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM.

The road will then remain closed from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM and open from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. The third closure will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by an opening from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM.

Similarly, traffic will be stopped from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM and allowed to pass from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM. The final closure will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

After 6:00 PM, the road will operate normally, according to the administration.

Authorities have requested motorists to plan their journeys according to the closure schedule and cooperate during the ongoing roadwork.
