KATHMANDU: The demand for premium and powerful scooters is growing in Nepal. Competition is also increasing in the 150cc-class scooter segment.
To meet this demand, two-wheeler companies are bringing more powerful scooters to the market. TVS recently entered the segment with the Ntorq 150.
Jagadamba Motors unveiled the Ntorq 150 at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026. The company is currently taking bookings without announcing its price.
The Ntorq 150 comes with a sporty design, modern technology and a powerful engine. It is expected to compete directly with the Yamaha Aerox 155, which has been available in Nepal for around three years.

Design
The Yamaha Aerox 155 follows a maxi-scooter design. It gets an aggressive front, LED headlights, sporty body panels, a raised tail section and a stepped seat.
It also features large 14-inch wheels. Its overall design is inspired by Yamaha’s sporty motorcycle lineup. The TVS Ntorq 150 gets a more aggressive and futuristic design. Its styling is inspired by stealth aircraft.
It features quad multi-point projector LED headlights, aerodynamic winglets, a naked handlebar, sporty muffler, single-piece seat and split grab rails.

Price
The Yamaha Aerox 155 is priced at Rs. 499,900 in Nepal. MAW Rides is the official distributor of Yamaha motorcycles and scooters in the country.
Jagadamba Motors has not yet announced the official price of the Ntorq 150. If TVS prices the Ntorq competitively, it could become a strong rival to the Aerox 155 in Nepal’s 150cc premium scooter segment.
Which one should you choose?
The Yamaha Aerox 155 has an advantage in engine power and top speed. It could be a better choice for buyers looking for sporty performance.
The TVS Ntorq 150, meanwhile, stands out with its technology, connectivity and newer design.
However, the Ntorq 150’s final position in the market will depend heavily on its price. With the price yet to be announced, it is too early to determine which scooter offers better value.
