KATHMANDU: Dacia has revealed the second-generation Spring EV for the European market. The new electric hatchback gets a completely redesigned exterior and offers up to 250 km of range.
The new Spring is based on Renault Group’s RGEV Small platform. It features a boxy design with sharp LED headlights, integrated LED daytime running lights, a gloss-black front fascia and a two-tone bumper.
At the rear, the EV gets C-shaped LED taillights connected by a black trim element. The Dacia lettering is placed across the rear.

Inside, the new Spring features a two-tone dashboard with a 10.1-inch touchscreen. It also gets a three-spoke steering wheel and a digital instrument cluster.
The electric hatchback is powered by a 27.5 kWh battery paired with a single electric motor. The motor produces 80.5 BHP and 175 Nm of torque.
Dacia claims the new Spring can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 12.1 seconds. The EV has a maximum claimed range of 250 km.
The Spring supports 50 kW DC fast charging. The battery can be charged from 15% to 80% in around 28 minutes.
