KATHMANDU: Bajaj’s electric scooter Chetak has become costlier in the Nepali market once again. Hansraj Hulaschand and Company, the official distributor of Chetak in Nepal, has raised the price of the Chetak 3501 by Rs 25,000 at once.
With this hike, the new price of Chetak stands at Rs 389,900. This is the third time the company has raised the price since launching Chetak in the Nepali market in August 3, 2025.
The Bajaj Chetak 3501 electric scooter has received a total price hike of Rs 65,000 over the past four months, including a fresh Rs 25,000 increase. The scooter was initially launched at Rs 324,900.
The Bajaj Chetak comes with a 4.2 kW motor and a 3.5 kWh battery pack. The company claims a range of up to 153 km on a single full charge.
The scooter can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 3 hours using a fast charger, and has a top speed of 73 km/h. Built with a solid metal body; The Chetak features a 5-inch TFT touchscreen display.
Other features include an LED light setup, smart connect, smart navigation, music and call control, real-time document access, geo-fencing, accident detection, anti-theft protection, water and dust resistance, OTA updates, a disc brake system, alloy wheels, ride modes, hill hold, reverse mode, and 35 liters of under-seat storage.
