KATHMANDU: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched the XR300L and XR300 Rally in India, priced at 183,000 Indian rupees and 208,000 Indian rupees, respectively.
Both motorcycles are locally manufactured and are based on the same dual-sport platform. The XR300L is focused more on off-road riding, while the XR300 Rally adds equipment aimed at improving touring comfort.

They are powered by a 293.5cc air- and oil-cooled single-cylinder engine producing around 24.3 hp and 26.5 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The motorcycles feature telescopic front forks, a rear monoshock and wire-spoke wheels with a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear setup.
The XR300 Rally gets a 5-inch TFT display, larger fuel tank, taller windscreen, knuckle guards and rally-inspired bodywork. It also gets more comprehensive switchgear than the standard XR300L.

The XR300L is priced below the Kawasaki KLX230, which costs 219,000 Indian rupees in India. It is also positioned close to the Hero Xpulse 210, priced between 168,000 Indian rupees and 177,000 Indian rupees.
The new Honda models give buyers another option in the growing dual-sport segment, sitting between entry-level off-road motorcycles and larger adventure models.
