KATHMANDU: Foton is preparing to open what it claims will be Nepal’s largest commercial EV service center in Pepsicola, Kathmandu.
MAW Vriddhi Commercial Vehicles, the authorized distributor of Foton vehicles in Nepal, is developing the new facility to strengthen its after-sales service.
Foton Motor Nepal CEO Dr. Anil Kumar Baral said the service center is being built with modern infrastructure, advanced equipment and sufficient service capacity. It will have a team of trained technicians and engineers certified by Foton’s international organization.
The new facility will provide vehicle servicing, genuine spare parts, battery testing, regular maintenance, and driver and technician training under one roof. The company plans to bring the center into operation soon.
“Quality after-sales service is our first priority. Selling vehicles is not our only responsibility. We want every Foton customer to have easy access to quality service, genuine parts and professional technical support,” said Baral.
The service center will also be equipped with modern inspection and repair systems for Foton’s commercial vehicles. Trained technicians will inspect and repair vehicles according to Foton’s service standards.
The company also plans to maintain adequate stocks of genuine spare parts at the facility. It expects this to reduce repair time and minimize delays for customers.
Foton targets service touchpoint every 100 km
Foton currently has 21 service centers and service touchpoints across Nepal. The company is also expanding its nationwide after-sales network.
As part of its expansion plan, Foton aims to establish a service touchpoint within every 100 kilometers along major routes across eastern and western Nepal by the end of 2026.
The company said the expanded network will make quality after-sales service and technical support more accessible to Foton customers across the country.
