KATHMANDU: MAW Vriddhi has started operations of a new electric vehicle workshop at Balkumari, Lalitpur. The facility will provide after-sales services for Deepal, Nammi, and Seres electric vehicles sold by the company in Nepal.
The company officially inaugurated the workshop on Tuesday. The event was attended by Shanti Devi Agarwal, Chairman of MAW Group, Vishnu Kumar Agarwal, Chairman of MAW Growth, He Jixin, South Asia Regional Sales Director of Dongfeng Motors, Li Xinchung, Regional Service Manager, and Vivek Sikaria, Managing Director of MAW Growth.
The new workshop is designed to improve EV servicing efficiency and customer support. The company said the facility has been developed with a focus on commitment, trust, and service quality.
The Balkumari EV workshop has nine dedicated service bays and will have 24 certified EV technicians. According to the company, the workshop can service more than 36 electric vehicles daily.
The facility includes a modern EV battery diagnostic system to identify and test battery-related issues. It also has spare parts storage, a technician training room, and a customer waiting area.
Spread over around 15,000 square meters, the workshop is designed to provide improved service facilities for EV owners. The company will provide services including pick-up and drop-off, fast-track service, 24/7 breakdown assistance, and a dedicated service hotline within the Kathmandu Valley.
With the growing demand for electric vehicles in Nepal, companies are expanding their service infrastructure to support customers. MAW Growth said the new facility will help provide faster and more systematic after-sales support for its EV customers.
