KATHMANDU : Royal Enfield’s upcoming Himalayan 750 adventure motorcycle has been spotted in a near-production form during testing in the UK.
The latest test motorcycle was seen near Royal Enfield’s UK Technology Centre. Unlike earlier prototypes, the latest version appears to be close to its final production specification.
Royal Enfield CEO B. Govindarajan has previously confirmed that the company will introduce its new 750cc motorcycle platform at EICMA 2026 in Milan, Italy.
The latest Himalayan 750 features production-ready body panels, lighting and switchgear. It also appears to have no visible data-logging equipment or other testing hardware.
The design takes inspiration from the existing Himalayan 450. It features a round LED headlight and an upright adventure-touring stance.
However, the Himalayan 750 appears larger and more premium. It gets a larger fairing, taller windshield and a bigger fuel tank.
The motorcycle also features a high-mounted exhaust system. This could help improve ground clearance and suggests that the Himalayan 750 is being developed more as a road-focused adventure tourer than a hardcore off-road motorcycle.
The test bike is equipped with cast-alloy wheels and CEAT road-oriented tires. It is expected to use a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup.
Braking hardware includes twin front disc brakes with ByBre calipers. Suspension duties are handled by Showa USD front forks and a rear monoshock with remote preload adjustment.
Royal Enfield has not yet revealed the complete technical specifications. However, the company has confirmed that the new motorcycle will use a parallel-twin engine.
The engine is expected to be based on Royal Enfield’s existing 648cc twin-cylinder platform. It could receive a larger displacement and revised internal components for adventure touring.
The Himalayan 750 is also expected to feature a round TFT instrument console, smartphone connectivity, navigation, ride-by-wire throttle, riding modes, traction control and cruise control. Switchable ABS modes are also likely.
In Nepal, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has already gained popularity in the adventure motorcycle segment. Alpha Automotive, the authorized distributor of Royal Enfield in Nepal, currently offers several India-made Royal Enfield models.
The Himalayan 750 could also be introduced in Nepal following its global launch, although the company has not confirmed its Nepal launch plans yet.
