KATHMANDU: TVS is set to introduce its most powerful scooter yet, the NTORQ 150, in Nepal this week.
Jagdamba Motors, the official distributor of TVS in Nepal, will launch the sporty premium scooter at the upcoming NAIMA Mobility Expo. The expo is scheduled to begin on Tuesday.
The NTORQ 150 was launched in India in September 2025. It is now arriving in Nepal nearly a year after its introduction in the Indian market. In India, the scooter is available in two variants. These include a version with a Hybrid TFT+LCD cluster and a higher-spec version with a full TFT display. The exact variant to be offered in Nepal has not yet been confirmed.
The NTORQ 150 is positioned as a premium performance scooter. It features a stealth-aircraft-inspired design with sharp body lines, projector LED headlamps, a T-shaped LED tail lamp, aerodynamic winglets, a sporty muffler and split grab rails.
Powering the scooter is a 149.7cc, single-cylinder, three-valve, air-cooled engine. It produces 13.2 PS at 7,000 rpm and 14.2 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine comes with a CVT gearbox and an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) for silent starts.
The NTORQ 150 has a claimed top speed of 104 km/h. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 6.3 seconds. TVS also offers Street and Race riding modes, with the iGO Assist boost function available for additional performance.
The scooter gets a range of connected features. Depending on the variant, these include a full TFT display, turn-by-turn navigation, Alexa integration, smartwatch connectivity, music control, call controls, vehicle live tracking, last parked location and over-the-air updates.
Safety features include single-channel ABS, traction control, hazard lamps, crash and theft alerts, high-speed alerts and emergency brake warnings. It also gets an adjustable brake lever, USB charging and an all-in-one lock system.
The NTORQ 150 comes with 22 litres of under-seat storage and a 5.8-litre fuel tank. It rides on alloy wheels with tubeless tyres and gets telescopic front suspension and a hydraulic rear suspension setup.
The NTORQ 125 has already established a strong presence in Nepal. The arrival of the more powerful NTORQ 150 will add a new option to the premium scooter segment.
Its pricing will be a key factor in determining how well it competes in the Nepali market. Jagdamba Motors is expected to reveal the price and variant details at the launch.
