KATHMANDU: Tata Motors has revealed the exterior design of the upcoming Sierra EV ahead of its launch on June 30 in India. The electric SUV keeps the familiar Sierra design but gets a few styling changes to give it a distinct EV identity.
The Sierra EV follows Tata’s existing ICE-to-EV design approach with a closed-off front grille and a slightly updated front profile. The grille now comes in a body-colored finish, while the LED lighting setup remains similar to the regular Sierra.
The front bumper gets a gloss-black finish with a silver skid plate element. Tata has also removed the Sierra lettering below the LED light bar, giving the EV a cleaner front look.

The side and rear design remain mostly unchanged. The Sierra EV features ‘Sierra.ev’ badges on the front doors and tailgate, while the 19-inch alloy wheels are carried over from the standard model.
Tata has not revealed the interior yet, but the Sierra EV is expected to share several features with other premium Tata EVs. Higher variants could get a triple-screen setup with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and two 12.3-inch displays. Other expected features include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, premium audio system, and multiple drive modes.
The Sierra EV is expected to be based on Tata’s acti.ev+ platform and share battery options with the Harrier EV. It is likely to be offered with 65kWh and 75kWh battery packs.
The Tata Sierra EV features an estimated ground clearance of 205 mm.

Tata has confirmed that the Sierra EV will come with an all-wheel-drive option on the top variant. Lower variants are expected to feature rear-wheel drive. Since the Sierra EV is smaller and lighter than the Harrier EV, it could offer a higher range than the Harrier EV’s claimed 627 km.
The Sierra EV will be placed between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV in Tata’s electric vehicle lineup. It is expected to be priced between 1.8 million and 2.5 million Indian rupees (ex-showroom) and will compete with models such as the Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, and Maruti Suzuki e Vitara.
Tata Motors is one of Nepal’s popular EV brands, distributed by Sipradi Trading.
