KATHMANDU : Sipradi Trading, the official distributor of Tata Motors in Nepal, is preparing to launch the facelifted Tata Punch EV in the Nepali market.
The company has brought the updated Punch EV to Nepal and organized a media drive from Radhe Radhe, Bhaktapur, to Dhulikhel’s Dott Temple. The drive was held as part of preparations for the market launch of the facelifted model.
The media drive was flagged off by Shawant Jung Sijapati, General Manager of the Passenger Car Unit at Sipradi Trading, in Bhaktapur.
“We have brought an SUV that will be available at the price of a hatchback car in the market,” said Sijapati.
According to Sijapati, Tata Motors has upgraded its successful Punch EV to meet changing market requirements.

He also confirmed that the facelifted Punch EV will be priced lower than the outgoing model.
“The price will be lower than before. However, we will announce the price at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo,” he said.
The top variant of the existing Punch EV is priced at Rs 3.999 million. This means the facelifted Punch EV will be more affordable than the current model.
According to the company, the new Punch EV will be available in three variants in Nepal.
Around 80 to 90 people participated in the Punch EV media drive. An off-road circuit was also prepared at Dott Temple for the test drive.
The circuit included uneven surfaces, sharp turns, muddy sections, and uphill and downhill stretches. This allowed participants to experience the Punch EV in different driving conditions.
The Tata Punch EV will be introduced with a 95 kW electric motor and a 40 kWh battery pack.
Sipradi Trading has not yet provided information on whether a variant with a smaller battery pack and motor will also be introduced in Nepal.
