KATHMANDU : Sipradi Trading, the authorized distributor of Tata Motors passenger vehicles in Nepal, has brought the updated Tata Tiago.ev to the country.
The facelifted electric hatchback, which was unveiled in India a few months ago, is set to go on sale in Nepal next week.
According to sources, the company plans to officially launch the new Tiago.ev at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo.
The model has been one of Nepal’s best-selling affordable EVs since its debut, and the facelift arrives with refreshed styling, an upgraded cabin and additional technology.
The Nepal-bound version features a 24 kWh lithium-ion battery paired with a 55 kW electric motor producing 114 Nm of torque. The powertrain remains unchanged from the outgoing long-range model.
Inside, the updated Tiago.ev gets a redesigned dashboard with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a fully digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, cruise control and steering-mounted controls.
Tata has also revised the upholstery and cabin design to give the hatchback a more modern feel.
Safety equipment includes dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), rear parking sensors and a reverse camera.
With Tata enjoying a strong reputation in Nepal thanks, to its extensive service network and competitive EV pricing, the facelifted Tiago.ev is expected to strengthen its position in the entry-level electric hatchback segment.
Sipradi Trading is yet to announce the official Nepal price.
