KATHMANDU : GWM Nepal has ended the introductory pricing offer on its popular Ora 5 electric SUV. Customers will now have to pay more for both available variants.
At launch, the company offered the Ora 5 Mid at Rs. 4.699 million and the Ora 5 High at Rs. 5.199 million under a limited-time introductory scheme.
With the offer now over, the Mid variant has become Rs. 150,000 more expensive, while the High variant now costs Rs. 200,000 more.
The official prices are now Rs. 4.849 million for the Mid variant and Rs. 5.399 million for the High variant.
The Ora 5 has received a positive response in Nepal since its launch. Its distinctive styling, long driving range, modern technology, and comprehensive safety package have made it one of the notable new EVs in the segment.
The SUV features a retro-inspired design with circular LED headlamps, smooth body lines, and a clean rear profile. Measuring 4,471 mm in length with a 2,720 mm wheelbase, it offers a strong road presence despite its compact footprint. It also provides 200 mm of ground clearance, making it well suited to Nepali road conditions.
Power comes from a 100 kW electric motor producing 260 Nm of peak torque. The SUV is equipped with a 58.3 kWh LFP battery pack, delivering a WLTP-certified driving range of up to 435 km on a single charge.
Inside, the Ora 5 features a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch floating touchscreen, Coffee OS infotainment system, wireless phone charging, a panoramic glass roof, and a premium cabin finish.
Safety is another highlight. The SUV comes equipped with adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, traffic sign recognition, and a 540-degree camera. The top variant also adds a LiDAR-based ADAS package.
Other features include seven airbags, a nine-speaker audio system, welcome seats, ventilated front seats, a spare tire, and a hidden rear wiper.
