Proton expands network in Nepal with four new showrooms and service centers

KATHMANDU : Jagdamba Motors, the authorized distributor of Proton vehicles in Nepal, is expanding its sales and after-sales network as it strengthens the brand’s presence in the country.

Following the launch of the new Proton e.MAS 5 electric hatchback, the company has accelerated the expansion of its showroom and service center network to improve customer accessibility.

The company currently operates through seven locations across Nepal and is adding four new showrooms and service centers. As part of the expansion, Jagdamba Motors officially opened a new state-of-the-art showroom and service center at Radhe Radhe, Bhaktapur, on Tuesday.

According to the company, the new Bhaktapur facility is one of the most advanced Proton showroom and service centers in Nepal in terms of infrastructure and service quality.

Jagdamba Motors also announced that new authorized showrooms will be inaugurated in Birgunj, Janakpur and Nepalgunj from next week.

Before this expansion, Proton’s sales and service network covered Naxal, Thapathali, Biratnagar, Chitwan, Pokhara, Butwal and Dhangadhi.

The company said the expansion is part of its strategy to strengthen Proton’s position as a customer-focused electric vehicle brand in Nepal. According to company representatives, the growing confidence in the Proton brand has encouraged the company to extend its sales and after-sales services to more customers across the country.

Jagdamba Motors has been the official distributor of Proton vehicles in Nepal since 2018.

Malaysia’s national carmaker Proton has been expanding its international footprint since entering a strategic partnership with Geely in 2017.
