KATHANDU : The Proton e.MAS 5 has emerged as one of the attractions at the ongoing NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 in Kathmandu.
Jagadamba Motors, the authorized distributor of Proton vehicles in Nepal, launched the new electric hatchback in early August. The e.MAS 5 has attracted strong interest from visitors at the expo and has received a high number of bookings since its launch.
The Proton e.MAS 5 is available in two variants: Prime and Premium. The Prime is priced at Rs. 3.299 million, while the premium costs Rs. 3.699 million.
The e.MAS 5 is based on a rear-wheel-drive platform. Proton says the setup provides balanced weight distribution, stable handling and better driving dynamics. It is designed for use on city roads, highways and hilly roads.
The electric hatchback offers three storage areas. These include a 70-liter front trunk, a 28-liter under-seat storage compartment and a 20-liter storage space below the center console.
The e.MAS 5 also features a rear multi-link independent suspension and a 375-liter boot. It gets a 14.6-inch Full HD display and a G-Trac traction control system.
Other features include a 4.95-meter turning radius, a 65-degree door opening angle and vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality.
The Premium variant gets an 85 kW 11-in-1 electric motor. It also comes with a powered tailgate and a 360-degree camera.
The Proton e.MAS 5 is displayed at Hall B, Stall L-6 at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, which is being held at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
