TVS Orbiter electric scooter launched in Nepal

KATHMANDU : Jagdamba Motors, the authorized distributor of TVS in Nepal, has launched the new TVS Orbiter electric scooter in the Nepali market.

The company has priced the scooter at Rs. 281,900, making it an attractive option in its segment considering the battery size and features.

The Orbiter is TVS’ second electric two-wheeler in Nepal after the TVS iQube. It is designed mainly for daily city commuting.

The scooter comes with a 3.1 kWh battery pack. TVS claims an IDC-certified range of up to 158 km, while the expected real-world range is around 130 km on a single charge.

Power comes from a 2.5 kW peak BLDC rear hub motor. The scooter has a top speed of 68 km/h.

The TVS Orbiter features a color LCD digital display with the TVS Connect app. It also offers Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, live location, OTA updates, hill hold, anti-theft protection, crash alerts, cruise control, regenerative braking, motor cut-off technology, multiple riding modes, reverse mode, reverse parking assist, and a USB charging port.

Other highlights include 165 mm ground clearance, a flat seat, flat floorboard, alloy wheels, 34-liter under-seat storage, tubeless tires, drum brakes, telescopic front suspension, and dual rear shock absorbers.
