KATHMANDU: Kia has confirmed that the EV2 electric crossover will be unveiled at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show on January 9. The EV2 will share its underpinnings with the Hyundai Inster.

The Kia EV2 is the brand’s smallest EV. It was shown earlier this year in concept form. Kia is now preparing to reveal the production version.

The first teaser suggests the production-spec EV2 looks close to the concept. The crossover gets vertical LED headlights with dual LED DRLs similar to the new Seltos. It also has C-shaped LED taillights.

The Kia EV2 is built on the E-GMP platform it shares with the Hyundai Inster. It uses a front-mounted electric motor and is expected to offer multiple battery choices.

The Hyundai Inster, a closely related model, comes with 39 kWh and 46 kWh packs. It delivers a claimed range of 327–369 km. The higher-spec version produces 113 hp (114 PS / 84 kW).
