KATHMANDU: Volkswagen has released the first teaser of its upcoming three-row SUV, the Tayron, ahead of its launch in the Indian market. The teaser hints that the official debut could take place soon.
The Tayron is built on Volkswagen’s MQB EVO platform, which is also used by the Tiguan and Skoda Kodiaq. The teaser image shows the SUV’s front design, featuring a full-width LED light bar with an illuminated Volkswagen logo at the center.
Inside, the Tayron is expected to offer a modern cabin with a three-spoke steering wheel, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a large central touchscreen. Key features are likely to include multi-zone automatic climate control and a 360-degree camera system.
For India, the Tayron is expected to be powered by a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine producing 201 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. The engine will be paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system.
