KATHMANDU: Ather has opened a new Experience Center in Dharan, expanding its retail presence in eastern Nepal.
Vaidya’s Energy, the authorized distributor of Ather electric scooters in Nepal, has opened the company’s 13th Experience Center at Chata Chowk in Dharan-1, Koshi Province.
The new outlet is part of Ather’s plan to strengthen its presence across Nepal and accelerate the adoption of electric two-wheelers.
With the new outlet, Ather now has 13 Experience Centers across the country. The company has already expanded its presence to Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, Itahari, Butwal, Janakpur, Birgunj and Birtamode, among other cities.
The Dharan Experience Center will offer Ather’s 450 series and family-oriented Ather Rizta. Customers can purchase the scooters and access financing and exchange facilities at the new outlet.
To mark the opening, the company is offering special benefits until September 8. Customers can choose one of three benefits, including an extended battery warranty, financing at zero percent interest or a valuation benefit of up to Rs 8,000.
The Ather 450 series is aimed at customers looking for performance, smart technology and an engaging riding experience.
It comes with features such as strong acceleration, Google Maps-based navigation, Auto Hold, FallSafe, reverse mode, multiple riding modes and a touchscreen dashboard.
The Ather Rizta is designed for family and everyday use. It gets a wide seat, large storage capacity and safety-focused features.
The scooter also comes with traction control, tow and theft alerts, WhatsApp notifications on the dashboard and a comfort-focused design.
Ather currently operates nine authorized service centers across Nepal. The company also offers a warranty of up to eight years or 80,000km, making it one of the longest warranty packages in Nepal’s electric two-wheeler segment.
Ather is also expanding its fast-charging infrastructure in Nepal. Its network currently includes more than 40 Ather Grid fast chargers across major cities and highways.
